Netgear WNHDEB111 HD/Gaming 5 GHz Wireless-N Networking Kit
Recommended by Michael Paul [mikepaul@sc.rr.com]
on 5/15/2008
BOTTOM LINE: What about the crashing?
REALITY vs. EXPECTATIONS: about as I expected.
DETAILS: Did you guys try to stream SD video to a 360 after leaving the bridge unit on for quite a while, maybe a day or so? For some reason, only the bridge crashes and disconnects while the AP carries on OK. I even saw this in the AP logs where the connection broke several times over the course of a few days with no media traffic. My solution was to add a Koolatron IR switch that turns on the bridge as needed, but that device has its own adventures. With no new firmware updates lately, I have no idea if Netgear has even looked into this yet, but it has been reported...

BOTTOM LINE: Get another router. Read the web.
REALITY vs. EXPECTATIONS: worse than I expected.
