It will search the Router on your LAN and ask you to type system password. Just type in the password and click "Upgrade" button. It takes about 30 seconds to finish the whole procedure. WARNING MESSAGE ************************** The files will upgrade the firmware of your Cable/DSL Router to version R1.93e. 1. NOTE! DO NOT POWER OFF THE UNIT WHEN THE UNIT IS BEING UPGRADED, OR THE UNIT MAY BE DAMAGED. 2. The configuration will not be changed. You need not configure it again. ************************* Section C. Add a firewall feature to block port ranges for DMZ host. Just enable a "Special Application" with null trigger, all ports listed in INCOMING PORTS will be blocked out even DMZ host is enabled. The following setting is recommended when you enable DMZ host: Trigger = [ ], Incoming Ports = [ 1-1023 ] Note: the above setting will not affect the function of Virtual Server. 4. Platform-independent Firmware Upgrade ************************************************ First, go to our web site to download firmware image file, WBR193e.BIN. Remember the location you save this file. And then choose one of the following two methods: * METHOD I: WEB UPGRADE 1. Connect the Web user interface and login as system administrator. 2. Click the "Firmware Upgrade" button of "Toolbox" page. And the "Firmware Upgrade" screen will appear. 3. Enter the location of the previously downloaded file in the text box, or click "Browse" button to search for the file. And then click "Upgrade" button. * METHOD II: FTP UPGRADE Use any FTP client you preferred to upload the downloaded files. The username to login the FTP server is "root" and the password is the same as the system administrator's. The default setting is "admin". Close the FTP session when the files are uploaded. It takes about 30 seconds. After the session is closed, the router will be restarted automatically. The configuration will not be changed!
