I’m using Ositis’ WinProxy and can’t get Sharing to work.
Some users have reported problems using Ositis’ suggested set of IP addresses (90.X.X.X). This range of addresses is not officially designated for use in private LANs and causes problems when used with some ISP’s networks.
You should use only one of the following address ranges when assigning IP addresses for your LAN computers:
10.0.0.0 – 10.255.255.255
172.16.0.0 – 172.31.255.255
192.168.0.0 – 192.168.255.255
These addresses ranges are officially designated as “private” network addresses as per RFC 1918
http://info.internet.isi.edu:80/in-notes/rfc/files/rfc1918.txt and can be used without problems.
Remember to keep the first three “octets” (i.e. XXX.XXX.XXX) of the IP address the same and vary only the final “octet” between 1 and 254
